This project marked a turning point in the trajectory of Kaziah’s career. It opened her eyes to the opportunity that lies within public interest work. With a group of fellow University of Texas students, Kaziah worked with a local non-profit farming organization called 5-mile farms. This organization aimed to end the food deserts found in East Austin by cultivating vegetable gardens in homeowners back yards and selling the organic produce at a mobile farm stand around the area.
Kaziah worked with the other students to create a brand for the organization. They then designed and built a unique farm stand from recycled materials found around the farm.
